Analysis and test department area quality check analysis and logistic

This department, with its controlled temperature and humidity, is the centre of research and control at the company.  About five years ago we adopted a data certification and storage system for our products, called SPC (System Processing Control).
This allows us to obtain a general idea of the critical dimensions of every detail concerning the production lot, “guaranteeing a quotation close to the nominal size”.  “Specific Work Instructions” are also prepared, complete with work cycles and measurement charts acquired from our experience, and “Control Plans”.
In the overall classification of our biggest customers, we have been assessed as suppliers of a system with Class “A” quality, with the best performance in terms of cost, quality, service and development capabilities.  The equipment in our facilities, made from leading brands and regularly calibrated, allows us to maintain a very high quality standard.

A 5-axis measuring machine with CMM coordinates, equipped with a Renishaw head (measurement uncertainty of 0.0010mm, read in ten-thousandths), equipped with 7 sensors for temperature compensation on the axis and structure and 1 special temperature compensation sensor to measure, the MDM allows for continuous scanning with a measure of 700x1000x700 with a first term error of 0.0015mmL/333.  Warehouse equipped with change of tools, it is managed by PDCIMS software, with the possibility of importing files from SOLIDEDGE/PROENGINEER and CATIA

TESA VISIO OPTICAL MEASURING MACHINE

No-contact optical measuring machine, motorised zoom with 20x to 130x enlargement with an incredibly fine resolution with cold light LED lighting, so as not to influence the measurements.

Class 1 laser pointer system for detecting light and shade, coordinate table with encoders with a resolution measuring 0.003mm.

Double-access projector, allows for diascopic (direct) and episcopic (surface) projection on one screen for size measurements and surface observations of parts.  Equipped with 2D GEOPACK-Win software (mathmatical element and elaboration system), it allows you to control profiles with a measurement uncertainty of 0.01.

Therefore, it is possible to make measurements without contact with a very tiny uncertainty of size, as well as the comparison (with software) of any profiles requested through the client directly through DWG- DXF

SOFTWARE: MASTERCAM X5
One of the most popular CAD / CAM systems in the world, in metal removal operations, allows the machining of parts up to 5 axes simultaneously, multi-axis high speed operations, it includes a work simulator and collision control, and a WI-FI connection to all the multi-axis operation centres to allow for the transmission of files directly to hard-disk of the machine.
SOFTWARE: PC-DIMIS CAD++
The most advanced and complete measuring software, and one the most popular, equips our 2 three-dimensional measuring machines (DEA Global Advantage and Dea swift) with numerical control.  You can directly import of the mathematical model provided by the customer to take measurements in three dimensions directly from the customer’s technology.

Analysis and testing area quality control and assisted programming department

The area dedicated to production process control is equipped with a coordinate measurement machine (5 axis CMM) with PCDMIS software, and includes an exclusive database for monitoring the details of operations.  In the product development cycle the programming is assisted by MASTERCAM X2 (3D) software, the most used CAD CAM system in the world, which allows for efficient and precise management of the tool path, a library management tool dedicated to management of machines with 2 to 5 axes. The CAD tool, complete with both solid and surface modelling, allows you to monitor and analyse the tool in the customer’s design phase and, with the support of the CMM, perform reverse-engineering.  Also equipped with an internal converter, it manages IGES, PARASOLID, STEP, AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORK, STL and CATIA files. Always with our eye on new markets, we also have ARTCAM software, dedicated to artistic, decorative and designer milling.

In 2006 we implemented the production department with a new quality analysis laboratory, with controlled temperature and humidity, designed to perform dimensional controls directly during the production process, reducing variations in measurement on the machine, especially in reference to the deviation of the measures in relation to temperature variations.

In the same laboratory we have installed, in addition to a series of measurement tools and verification pads, a CNC measuring machine with 5 controlled axes, called DEA Swift A001

Visual and dimensional control systems without contact

Oms quality laboratory is equipped, among others, with high quality instruments, for the accurate visual control of the procedure.

Leica DMS300 digital microscope

The Leica DMS300 is a complete digital microscope system that uses an HDMI monitor instead of eyepieces. Leica’s high-quality 8: 1 zoom optics are combined with a 2.5 MP camera to deliver high-definition live images up to 30 fps. The Leica DMS300 produces high-quality still images in color as well as Full HD movies as a stand-alone system.

All the main functions of the DMS300 are controlled by a wireless remote control. You can also connect it to a computer compatible with the Leica LAS EZ software. Dual video streaming allows you to simultaneously have a PC output and a second imaging device with an HDMI interface, such as an HD monitor or projector.

KEYENCE Digital Microscope Series VHX-7000

The first high-precision 4K microscope in the world, able to detect even minor differences, with an optical shadow effect, to have a clear view of small details that were previously detected only in an indistinct manner. High definition acquisition allows for a detailed observation that was previously not possible.

Store management and NC by Handheld

RAW MATERIALS WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

OMS, in order to improve the management of its stores, has introduced the use of a handheld with procedures tailored to our working reality.
It is now possible manage the acceptance of raw materials totally by handheld, which, through bar code reading, are automatically loaded to the warehouse and divided into identification lots.

Regarding the qualitative part, was made a dedicated procedure relating to the controls of approval acceptance.

Similarly, the tooling supply is managed with the load on stock by reading the barcode of the input material.

AUTOMATIC SUPPLIER ORDER

Appropriate procedures have been set up for the management order to supplier.

Setting all the details needed to complete the order an email is automatically generated and sent to the supplier.
